Kenosha shooting: 3 people killed and 2 injured after melee at Somers House tavern

Gunshots erupted inside and outside The Somers House Tavern around 12:40 am Sunday, Sheriff David G. Beth mentionned.

“Looks like someone was kicked out of the facility and maybe came back soon after,” and started shooting, Beth said.

It is not known exactly why this person was deported, or if there was one or more shooters, the sheriff said.

But whoever opened fire is still at large, Beth said. He asked anyone with information to contact the authorities.

“We don’t think it was a random act,” the sheriff said. “I don’t think the people in this area are in danger because the suspect is still not captured.”

About 100 agents from several agencies “are scouring the area trying to find video footage and anything that can help us at the scene right now,” Beth said.
